The Kaduna Police Command has mentioned it rescued 76 kidnapped travellers alongside Funtua-Zaria Road at Gulbala space of Giwa Local Government Area of the State, via the joint efforts of the navy.

DSP Mohammed Jalige, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, in an announcement, mentioned the victims have been rescued on Friday, following the report acquired from the Police Divisional Headquarters, Giwa LGA.

According to him, the command acquired a report of scores of armed bandits blocking the highway, and in the method, kidnapped scores of passengers, to their hidden location.

He defined that the command mobilised security operatives, together with the navy, and moved into the placement, the place they found an empty car – a Ford open truck with Reg. No. APP 667 XG, mentioned to have carried the kidnapped passengers.
