Three young children who have been missing on the Gold Coast have been found safe and well, police say.

Early today, police issued an amber alert for the three-year-old girl and two boys, aged five and six, who went missing from Victor Avenue in Paradise Point at 4pm yesterday.

But police say they were found this morning unharmed at a property in Mount Warren Park in outer Logan, about 40 minutes north of the Gold Coast.

The 27-year-old father of the children has been arrested on unrelated charges.

Officers recovered a blue Hyundai i30 at 7am today that the children were travelling in.

Police praised the help of the public in finding them, but said investigations were continuing.

“It’s critical in those, times that we have the assistance of the community to be our eyes and ears and help us with any information they can,” said Detective Acting Superintendent Mark White.

Police say the children spent the night alone in the car overnight before they walked to a nearby convenience store on Rochester Drive at Mount Warren Park and raised the alarm.

They have been taken to hospital for a medical assessment.

Police continue to appeal for anyone who may have seen the Hyundai with Queensland registration 205SKW travelling between the Gold Coast and Logan areas between 4.30pm and 10pm yesterday.
