One dead, 4 critically wounded in California church shooting; 1 detained, authorities say cbs17.com

Multiple people were shot Sunday at a church in Southern California, authorities said.

The shooting happened at just before 1:30 p.m. Geneva Presbyterian Church on the 24000 block of El Toro Road in the city of Laguna Woods, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said on Twitter.

The sheriff’s department said one person was dead and four victims were critically wounded and another person had minor injuries. All victims are adults and are enroute to the hospital, officials said.
