Top G7 diplomats meeting in Germany have warned the war in Ukraine is stoking a crisis that threatens the world’s poorest. They also pledged to continue their military assistance to Ukraine for “as long as necessary. “Group of Seven (G7) foreign ministers on Saturday called on Russia to end its naval blockade of Ukrainian grain exports to avert a major humanitarian crisis.

“Russia’s war of aggression has generated one of the most severe food and energy crises in recent history, which now threatens those most vulnerable across the globe,” they said in a statement after talks in the northern German resort of Weissenhaus.
