Tristan Thompson’s bank balance will soon get a little bigger as he’s just been awarded a cool $50k in the libel case against his paternity accuser.
Last year Kimberly Alexander claimed that Khloe Kardashian’s now-ex boyfriend Tristan Thompson was the father of her son, but Thompson took a paternity test, which had a negative result.
The Boston Celtics player sued her for libel, and she was ordered to pay him $50,000 in general damages and $2,901.95 in costs in a conditional default judgment, according to E! News.
Tristan had asked for $100k in damages, claiming that Alexander’s accusation has hurt his reputation, and cost him endorsement deals because companies saw him as a brand hazard.
Legal documents obtained by TMZ showed the court entered a default judgment in favor of Tristan against Kimberly Alexander for the amount of $50k, plus 10% interest per year until it’s paid off.
The judge reportedly cut the requested amount for damages in half because Tristan didn’t specifically lay out which endorsements, he lost due to Alexander’s allegations.
