VIDEO: Chinese miner attacks Sierra Leonean safety officer during safety meeting
A video of a Chinese miner attacking a Sierra Leonean Safety Officer with a rod on a mining site in Sierra Leon, has gone viral. The incident reportedly happened at Tonkolili Iron Ore mine.
The Chinese man is seen in the video scolding Sierra Leonean colleague and the altercation turned physical, going from 0 to 100 real quick.
The video begins with the Chinese miner scolding one of the employees, who is local. He then spits on the floor directly in front of the man in derision.
The man then calls him out for this, saying: “Get out. Out of this place man.”
The Chinese man then walks to the Sierra Leonean Safety Officer and begins pointing at him while scolding. Suddenly, he slaps the documents the safety officer was holding and fight breaks out.
The Chinese then runs to pick up a rod and runs back to attack the black man as other Sierra Leonean workers try to hold him back to prevent him from harming the man.
Soon, other Chinese workers run to the scene and start scolding the black man filming the incident.
But the man tells them the Asian man had no right to do what he did to the Sierra Leonean worker who is the Safety Officer.
The man filming is heard telling the story of what happened to the other Chinese workers who ran to the scene during the fight.
He says: “The man is conducting a safety toolbox meeting; he went there and disrupted the safety meeting. He has no right.”
